Our Commitment

Layered does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your skincare routines and usage data stay entirely on your devices.

We built Layered with privacy as a core principle. There are no accounts to create, no data uploaded to servers, and no analytics tracking your behavior.

Data Storage

All data created in Layered is stored locally on your device:

Routines - Your skincare routines and steps
Completions - Records of completed routines for statistics
Settings - Your app preferences
Purchase status - Whether you've upgraded to Pro

This data is stored using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults) and synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. No data leaves your devices.

Data Sync

Layered syncs data between your iPhone and Apple Watch to provide a seamless experience. This sync:

Uses Apple's secure WatchConnectivity framework
Happens directly between your devices
Does not involve any third-party servers
Is encrypted by Apple's operating system

In-App Purchases

Layered offers an optional Pro upgrade. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or any financial data.

Your purchase status is stored locally on your device to unlock Pro features.

Third-Party Services

Layered does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service involved is:

Apple App Store - For processing in-app purchases (governed by Apple's privacy policy)

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your devices, you have complete control:

Delete the app - Removing Layered from your device deletes all associated data
Delete routines - Use the app to delete individual routines at any time

There is no data on external servers to request deletion of.

Children's Privacy

Layered does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app does not require account creation or collect personal information from any users, regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
